‘Drip’ is a generative audio-visual installation that experiments with the potential of water and its effect on human beings. Light is pointed towards two cast-iron bowls that are filled with water, and thus a reflection of the water-surface is projected onto a wall. In a controlled rhythm, water drips down from the ceiling into one bowl. The resulting concentric circles are tracked and sound is generated based on the shifting motion of the water. Through the use of an exciter (sound transducer) this generated sound is transferred from one bowl into the other, where the reacting and vibrating water starts to create sound-reactive hypnotic shapes and forms seen reflected on the wall.
